Our Littler Munchkin

Oh, our little Selah. Such a joy. Such a handful. Such a stinker. Such a sweetie. Love her to pieces. And she loves Ezra to pieces. It's so cute how he can make her laugh so hard, how she watches his every move, and how she always tries to steal his snack. She is not a very good sleeper...I am getting less sleep now than I thought was possible to function on. But everyone keeps telling me that one day I'll look back and cherish those moments we share in the wee hours of the night. One day. But what we lack in sleep is made up for in laughter (and coffee). Oh, little Selah - I love watching you grow and learn!

Backtracking a Bit

Okay. So I am REALLY losing momentum here. But my blog stats show me there are still a few faithful followers of this pathetic blog, and I REALLY want to get better at posting more regularly. I have a lot to catch up on...so maybe there'll be a few posts in a few days. Wow. That would be a record for me.

Let me start with our little man turning TWO in the beginning of September. Ezra is such a terrific kid. Seriously, I can't get enough of him. He cracks us up on a regular basis, and continually surprises me with what he knows and can figure out. His vocabulary has just exploded recently, and it's so great to hear him figure out how to use new words in context. One of my favorite things he says recently is: "Okay, now it's _______'s turn!" He says it really sweetly and nicely - no matter if he's trying to get something he wants...or get out of something.

For example. I pick up my iPod to check something important (who am I kidding, I am playing Words With Friends). He wants to play with the iPod, so he says : "Okay, mommy. Now it's Ezzie's turn!"

OR...
He is supposed to be finishing his eggs but he doesn't want to. I tell him to take a big bite, so he does. Then he says: "Okay, now it's mommy's turn!" and proceeds to shove egg in my face.

He has started preschool one day a week because I am teaching for a midwifery school - and he LOVES it. I think the social interaction is really good for him, and he loves his teacher. He always comes home singing new songs and talking about the other kids.

Here are some pictures of the Birthday Party and just of our sweet boy.
