This was our second honeymoon-ette -- another couple of days away. Cayo Costa is a small island state park on the gulf side of Florida. We had to take a ferry to get there, and then were basically stranded on the island till the ferry took us off. It was beautiful (although quite desolate) but so extremely hot and buggy. We were MISERABLE. However, now we can laugh about it. We saw manatees while we were kayaking, and saw a dolphin from the beach. Also, there was an abundance of really cool birds. But seriously, I don't know if I've ever been so hot in my life!

Hey,
Great pics! Too bad you were so hot. You should have come to Algonquin with us (7 degrees celsius at night in August!). Hardly any bugs, but if one did get ya it drew blood! LOL I want to know what Jon has hanging from his mouth in the one picture: SNAKES? Nawwww!
Take care
Aunt Lottie
HAHA - no, not a snake. it's a hot dog on a roasting stick. But now that I look at it, it sorta looks like a snake. Algonquin sounds nice. Actually, 7 degrees sounds nice too, believe it or not. I would LOVE to curl up under a blanket right now! Talk to you soon!
